The Grapevine And The Goat

A Goat while grazing in the fields lost his way and was wandering where to go. While wandering he came across a grapevine. The grapevine was luxuriant in the time of vintage with leaves and grapes. The goat said to himself "I can anyways find my way back but I can never find such a vibrant grapevine again". Saying so the goat, nibbled its young tendrils and its leaves. The Vine addressed him and said: "Why do you thus injure me without a cause, and crop my leaves? Is there no young leaves left for you to graze in the green fields? But I shall not have to wait long for my just revenge; for if you now should crop my leaves, and cut me down to my root, I shall provide the wine to pour over you when you are led as a victim to the sacrifice."

Moral Of The Story: Retribution is certain.
